Merry Christmas and God Jul

Me and my sister are incredibly spoiled!

We celebrate Christmas on the 24th, we cook all day, eat all evening and then finally open our presents. In between the eating and the present opening, we are supposed to hold hands and dance around the Christmas tree and sing carols, but in my family, we skip that part now.

Today we watch films and eat a big lunch of leftovers. We had pork belly and duck yesterday, so the leftover lunch is going to be delicious.

P.S. the big present to the left, was a sewing machine for me. So excited!

  1. Hi Marie,

My name is Winnie and I am Danish too. I live in Gloucestershire. I was looking for a crochet pattern for a mug warmer as a gift for my Mum and Dad for their new kitchen and came across your blog...fabulous. My Mormor taught me to knit and crochet and have done so intermitently over the years...can't get enough of it at the moment! Then I saw this little gem and have to say I am utterly shocked Marie...How can you 'NOT' dance around the christmas tree!!!!!! I moved to England when I was 5 and cannot remember a year when we haven't danced around the tree...I have two sisters and a brother and as we have grown up and met our partners they love the fact they too now have 'two' christmases...and that includes the tradition of dancing round the tree (we never tire of seeing their faces when they do it for the first time...oh and Mum always leaves the sitting room curtains open so the whole world passing by can see us...how evil of her...lol! Our children love it too...as we have started the extra tradition that each person around the tree chooses a carol to sing...although it tends to be something like Baa Baa Black Sheep when the youngest ones choose...lol...and of course ending with my dad (as the eldest round the tree) with ChimChaRaRa...lol that's what we call it...You know...the one where it gets faster and faster and is so much fun...or maybe its just us that do it...lol!

Have added your blog as a favourite and look forward to reading more about you and your beautiful and inspiring crafts!

P.S. Is the pattern for the mug warmer available to downlaod?

    Regards and best wishes

    Winnie
